Our CEO, Dr Ivy Heng, was conferred Honorary Doctorate by Charisma University, Turks and Caicos Islands.
Charisma University is licensed by the Turks and Caicos Islands Ministry of Education as a degree-granting institution, and was founded in 2011 to make educational excellence accessible and affordable worldwide. This Honorary Doctorate is conferred upon Dr Ivy in recognition of her business accomplishments and distinguished service to the community in Asia, especially Singapore. At the heart of Watch Water’s social mission is Dr Ivy’s management philosophy to put people before profits.
She is inspired by Japanese philanthropist and entrepreneur Kazuo Inamori, who developed a management system that prioritises employee mental happiness over profits or high share prices. Dr Ivy believes in mentoring and developing people, from employees to business partners, as well as other small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
